EPT Program Purpose:

The purpose of the Engineering Peer Teacher (EPT) Program is to engage students in EPT Sessions (online and in-person) to review course concepts in primarily 100-300 level engineering courses.

Responsibilities of an Engineering Peer Teacher: 

  • Hold three (3) to five (5) hours of EPT Sessions each week (can include weekends)
  • Attend or watch the professor's lecture of the assigned course
  • Participate in weekly EPTeam Meeting and weekly Respective EPT Team (RET) Meeting
  • Prepare ahead of time for his/her/their session

Expectations of an Engineering Peer Teacher:

  • Be a role model within and outside of CSU community 
  • Foster a positive, safe learning environment for all students 
  • Communicate professionally with professors, students, fellow EPTs, and CSU staff
  • Engage students using effective tutoring skills to increase student success
